How I Got Started in Design?

I didn’t plan on becoming a designer. It all started during a slow summer when I had time on my hands and no particular direction. A close friend of mine—an experienced freelance creative—was preparing for a trip. I offered to help with some of his workload, thinking it might be a good way to learn something new and stay busy.

Though I had no formal training, I’d always felt naturally drawn to creative problem-solving. That one gesture—just wanting to be helpful—ended up becoming the beginning of my journey into design.

Sometimes, all it takes is one opportunity to unlock what was already inside you.

From that moment, I started exploring tools, studying real projects, and teaching myself the fundamentals of design. I realized it wasn’t about mastering every tool or chasing trends—it was about building experiences that made sense and felt right. What started as a favor turned into a career I genuinely enjoy.
